“I really appreciated this initiative. I’ve already read two stories. The one that interested me the most was, ‘Les aventures de Mr. Kra and Mr. Po’. The lesson I learned is that you should never give up. You have to fight for the change you want to see and for your dreams In the story, one of them gave up, but the other never lost hope. That’s the attitude I want to have in my life.
The only books in Creole I had the chance to read before were the Bouki and Malice stories in school textbooks. I wish we had a big library where we could find all kinds of book. I am used to writing letters as part of pen pal games, and my dream is to write a book one day.
I thank the leaders of PILH for thinking of us.”
